In the world of jewelry design there are few people who are as admired or their jewels so coveted as Jean Schlumberger. Even those who have never heard the name Schlumberger would recognize his signature style on his Tiffany & Co. collection.

The loan officers at Beverly Loan Company, known as ‘Pawnshop to the Stars’, offer collateral based loans on all styles of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including the stunning pieces by Schlumberger.

The master jeweler started his career designing buttons in the 1930’s, around the same time that Beverly Loan Company opened their doors. Schlumberger then moved to New York and designed clothing. After attempting to open his own jewelry salon, Schlumberger was asked to design jewelry for Tiffany and Company.

Schlumberger was incredibly successful at Tiffany, so much so in fact that he eventually became Vice President. As a designer, he created unique collections that combined diamonds, colored stones, enamel, gold and platinum with whimsical animals and nature inspired forms. In his first year he created “Bird on a Rock” for the Tiffany Yellow Diamond, a 128.5ct yellow diamond. Celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, The Duchess of Windsor, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Audrey Hepburn were personal clients of the famous jeweler.

Jean Schlumberger’s success led to an iconic style that commands amazing prices to this day. To inquire about a collateral based loan with a Schlumberger piece, or any Tiffany & Co. jewelry, please call (310) 275-2555.
